The Celebration in Our Home

Due to the nonstop heavy snow and not having a 4WD, we decided to stay home this holiday season. We certainly missed the fun central in Grandma & Grandpa's home in Pasco, but we're doing well here at home. Here are the updates from our home....

Christmas Eve:
Hazel still love to play in the snow even after doing it almost every day.

Last minute gifts to the neighbors. We couldn't deliver any to our friends this year. Sorry friends, we're afraid to get stuck again. :(

Hazel with her dad was tracking where Santa was. She found this fascinating. They even had a video showing Santa flying over with all the reindeer on every stop.

Hazel was being cute and ready to eat dinner.

Dinner menu: clam chowder soup (trying to keep the tradition from Quinn's family), rolls, cracker & carrot with dips, home made peppermint ice cream pie & chocolate sauce.

Doing activities while watching movies.

Of course, we won't forget to leave cookies, milk for Santa & carrot for Rudolph. :)

Christmas Day: Hazel almost couldn't sleep for this day! She couldn't stop talking the night before and woke up early this morning. She came to our room to inform us that Santa came, and dragged us out of bed to share the JOY. Hazel is a happy & silly girl in nature, but I never had her this excited. And here are the picture of the joy complete with the mess. :)

And the outside weather was like this pretty much all morning. It's really beautiful though, even though we had so much snow already.

Dinner menu: fried chicken, mash potatoes, green bean casseroles, corn, rolls, chocolate cake.

Our family is enjoying our dinner.

When there's cake, of course blowing the candles is a must. :)

I was skeptical or more like nervous to find out that we will be having our own celebration. But, I think we pulled it off since Hazel couldn't stop herself from being too excited. She ignored a nap today. She informed us that she wants tomorrow to be Christmas again. :)

Hope all of you had a wonderful time!

What great pictures! I can't believe how LONG your hair is getting Dewi! It's different celebrating alone. Nice in SOME ways, but sad in others. I haven't been commenting much lately on blogs because we downgraded to dial up and it's oh so annoyingly slow! It's good to get caught up!
