Shamu-itis & 4th of July

Yep, that was the diagnose by uncle Andrew of Hazel's symptoms over the phone. :) Hazel had shamu-itis he said....got sick by having too much shamu time. Hazel is all better now, but we did go to urgent care on Monday because she was crying and begging to go see a doctor around 5 pm (how sad does that sound?). We then went, waited for a loong time, and by the time we got into the room (we then waited for a loong time again) she felt a little better already-- I think those stickers might have something to do with it. If we knew, we just went to the sticker store instead, right? ....she did have a minor viral infections though, which got better couple days later (which was what uncle Andrew pretty much said -- Thanks Andrew!).
Quinn had half week off pretty much this week: Thursday and Friday off. We were going to go to LA, but we decided to take things easy since we thought Hazel still needs some rest. So, we stayed home....our home sweet 'temporary' home.

4th of July was pretty low key for us too. We celebrated the day with lunch at In-N-Out burger...what more American than burgers right? We then played at the park near our home, got takeout for dinner and watched fireworks from our bedroom window since the bay is just right in front of us. It was a pretty spectacular fireworks show (but no picture since we're just laying down enjoying them). Hazel was pretty amazed by them....and I'm pretty amazed by her amazement. I did have pms though....so, all I can say was 'poor' Quinn.

We have lots of nicknames for our Hazel (Hazel bear, Hazie-poo, Haze), but the one we both love is 'Taco'. She's our taco! When we saw this t-shirt, we both agreed to get one for her. It's more of my size t-shirt, but we told her it's a night gown (yea, we're clever like that!).

We also haven't baked from scratch at all in this place because really, no equipment, and it's a hassle to buy the ingredients that we'll probably have to leave them here. But, we did get this easy warm delight desert (free sample), therefore Daddy & Hazel decided to try them out. It was pretty easy to do, but the product was not that bad at all. We garnished it with whipped cream and sliced strawberry and it tastes like a real treat!

Hazel has been asking how much longer to go back to Bellevue, and that makes me a little sad. She misses her friends and her toys I guess. I just need to do a better job entertaining her here while it lasts. Hope we'll have a better week next week!
