County Fair

The one word to describe our summer this year would be "RIDES" and lots of it (I think).

We tried to play in a different park on Monday. It's near balboa park, which is pretty close to where we live and it's hot as usual. And for lunch, we tried The Mission per my friend, Paula, suggestion. I'm so glad we went....it's so good (Thanks for the info Paula!). I will have to come back and tried the French toast. Hazel wanted pancake instead, and it was pretty scrumptious too. It's fluffy like Ihop's but more substance in it. The last bite as just good as the first (even after being in the fridge since it's pretty big to be eaten at once). That was the view from our bedroom window when we take a nap. We spent many times watching the airplane lands and takes off.....we each has a favorite one (this sweet moment will be missed when we go back to Bellevue). This time, she noticed a blimpie flew by and got so excited and wanted me to take a picture of it (you can see it if you squint). :)

At night, me & Hazel went to Seaworld again (thanks to funcard) so that Daddy can finish his research paper for school (plus we never got him a ticket anyway). This time was spent mostly at Elmo Bay of Play, but we got to see the sea lion show -- yes, it's funny too.

Tuesday morning was play at home day. We played baseball and learned to write till we got tired. She's pretty good at hitting the ball with the bat (with pretty cute pose too don't you think?) -- I think we're going to put her in T-ball next time.

But, at night was when the action started. We went to San Diego County Fair on their Dollar Days. We spent $2 admissions instead of $24...pretty cool eh? But, the ride wasn't free unfortunately. Hazel was in Rides Galores....it's her first time riding roller coaster and she LOVED it. I'm the one who has her heart flung and knee weakened whenever seeing her riding all those big rides (she's still a baby to me!).

Her favorite ride of all was the helicopter. I guess you can see her excitement in the picture. It makes me feel good seeing her so happy. Except she has a cough right now but still in a good spirit. I hope it's just being tired.

We went to Fashion Valley Mall today ...and again, it was an outdoor mall. It's fancier than the one downtown, but still -- outdoor. It's good when the sun was not staring at me the whole time I guess.

Guess, what we're going to do tomorrow? Here's a hint -- RIDES...... :)

Ahhh, Brian and I took Preston to Fashion Valley mall many, many times!

What awesome pictures! How do you maintain such incredible momentum? You truly amaze me, Dewi!

Hazel is one lucky little girl, for sure! But, I'm sure you and Quinn are having fun, too!!!

Miss you, too!

Bisa liat pesawat terbang dari kamar? Duuuhh... enak bener sih? Tapi nggak keberisikan kan ya? ;)
