Happy Halloween 2008

Like our Jack-O-Lanterns?

On Tuesday, Hazel's preschool had a field trip to Remlinger Farm to get into Fall activities. We drove there early in the morning complete with the fog. It was combined with the kindergartners and we toured the farm with some other kids from different school. They had cool varieties of things to do at the farm. I was exhausted by the end, but we had a great time.

Gathering before we started the tour. Like the hat aunt Charith? Yes, it was that freezing.

She loved all the cutout they have there and insisted me to take pictures. This is just one of the many.

Riding the train with Mrs. Colbit (one of her teacher)

Watching Emus

Passing one of the engine

Learning about bees from the beekeeper

Singing a long inside the barn (she's mesmerized by the experience)

Feeding the sheep. She said "the sheep licked my hands mommy!"

Jumping on the hay (she brought home some)

Wandering thru the maze (she didn't want to come out and keep on going back to the front)

Finally, I could convince her to come out

Picking our pumpkins at the end

We carved our pumpkins yesterday night. She did a wonderful job. She cleaned out the guts by herself and designed the face. The results are the picture above.

Making the pumpkin throw up!

And thanks to my friend Debbie for a very yummy pumpkin bread recipe. We made it yesterday and couldn't stop eating them. Pumpkin & chocolate......a very deadly combination!

We have plans for Halloween tomorrow....and we will give a full report. In the meantime, Happy Halloween everyone!

Great times with Hazel. She is changing so much. We are going to come to your home next weekend, not this weekend, if it works out with your family. This weekend is packed with stuff, so hopefully next weekend will work for you guys. We can bring you some good, fresh beef and anything else you might need. Let us know if this is OK.

What an incredible field trip! Cute pictures to capture the day, too. I agree with you on the pumpkin/chocolate chip combo = trouble.
