Hazel doesn't realize that she has 2 grandmas & 2 grandpas...the other set she knows as Papah & Ibu. We had them visiting us for 12 days. We were going to visit Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam & Berlin with them and meet with Tante Vivie & Om Andi there, but we decided to cancel it at the airport. Two days prior to our trip, we lost power along with the other 1.5 million people in Seattle area. It was quite an experience, we had to search for food and keep warm. We thought we were prepared with our 3 day emergency kit, not until we experienced one that we know for sure what we really need next time. We couldn't do laundry to prepare for our trip, we packed in the dark, we didn't shower but still made it to the airport. At the airport, we were in line for almost 2 hours where our line just move at about 4 feet/hr rate. Our flight to New York got delayed for 4 hours, but we knew that the flight to Paris would depart on time in New York. Quinn's cold was worse, Hazel was tired and delirious and I became uncertain about the whole trip. After apologizing to Papah & Ibu and made sure they're going to be fine, we decided to cancel the trip. We lost some money, but we still think it was the right decision. We felt bad since Papah & Ibu came over here to go to Europe with us, but they said it was fine. We stayed in a hotel in Tacoma (the only hotel with power that still have available rooms) since we didn't want to freeze that night after coming from the airport. When we got home from the hotel, we were grateful that our power was on.

At Bellevue Square with Papah & Ibu before the power outage.

Hazel's early birthday present from Papah & Ibu since they won't be here for it next month. She loves to sing using it.

Baking gingerbread cookies for Papah.

She likes to play puzzle and jumping on Papah & Ibu's bed before she goes to bed.

We're glad we could see Grandma & Grandpa and celebrated their 43 year wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary Grandma & Grandpa.

Taking a rest after taking Hazel did car rides, horsie ride, merry go round, and chochoo train at Crossroads Mall. That's her favorite thing to do at Crossroads.

After eating at Thai food restaurant in Bellevue. Hazel ate lots of rice.
They're going back to Indonesia tonight. We're going to miss them, especially Hazel since she asked for them at night before go to bed and in the morning when she wakes up. It was pretty hard for Papah & Ibu when visiting us due to the mass power outage and canceling the Europe vacation. Hope they still had a little fun with us during their short visit.
