Movie & Baby

Yesterday, we took Hazel to see "Bee Movie". It was her first experience in the movie theater and we think she did great. We went to Crest Cinema Theater which only charge $3.00 per tickets. We also got her her first movie kiddie combo of popcorn, pop, and wonka ropes (we never bought popcorns & pop when we saw movies, but I thought she should experience the real deal :) ). Hazel lasted about 1 hr, and there was time when she had to stand up and jumped on the floor. We missed the ending of course, but we want her to have a good memory of it. All and all, we had a great time....and were glad we took her.

During the movie, I got a call from my friend Amanda letting me know that they had their baby in the morning. What a coincidence that we're just like 10 minutes away from their hospital. We rushed to see them of course. They named the baby Prita Amara, she weighs 7lbs 2 oz and measured 18 inches long. She's so cute....I forgot how tiny they were when they're a baby.

We offered to bring any food for them thinking that they're probably starving (from our experience), but Dave said that they could get free food from cafeteria any time. We're surprised.....we might have chose the wrong hospital! I remembered being just the two of us, and we were hungry, but worried at the same time. Quinn was afraid to leave me alone to get food....so, when there was time that my pain was bearable, he would run down to get food. The cafeteria has limited food and closed early. But, we couldn't be happier that Hazel was born naturally without c-section.

So, since they didn't need food, we ate at teriyaki Place at Northgate for dinner after we visited them. My brother Adi loves that place. And Sade, I ate the spicy chicken teriyaki for you... :) Hazel shared the beef teriyaki with her dad. Quinn loves it much.

And to finish our day, we got coldstone creamery ice cream vanilla bean flavor. It might not be a healthy choice, but we ate our veggies for dinner. So, it's okay right?

SO cute! You did good getting the popcorn - it helps keep them happier longer and it's all a part of the experience! She looks completely adorable holding it all! New babies are so tiny and it's funny how we forget. Teriyaki dinner and Coldstone ice cream? Sounds like a nice end to a really great day!

That's the one thing we didn't get to do while there in Washington... go see a movie. Hazel looks like she had a good time.
